Though the following photos are of a power line construction fromt he 1920s I'm presenting them to show the similarities to the way self supporting towers are erected and guy wires are treated over eighty years later. You may also notice the use of "hairpins" identical to those still used in modern construction. These photos were taken from a web site that I cannot find now. I do not have permission to display these photos and can only hope that no one objects to their being displayed here. They are a part of the history of the distribution of electricity in Northwest Washington State. |
